Mixed Pasta Using Tomato Powder

Ingredients:

8 ounces (225 grams) mixed pasta (penne, fusilli, farfalle, etc.)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (14 ounces/400 grams) diced tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoons tomato powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Fresh dhaniya leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the mixed pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes (with their juice) to the skillet. Stir in the Orgalive tomato powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  5. Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss the pasta in the sauce until it is well coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb the flavors of the sauce.

  6. Remove the skillet from heat. Serve the mixed pasta in individual bowls or plates.

  7. Garnish with fresh dhaniya leaves, if desired, before serving.

Enjoy your delicious mixed pasta infused with Indian spices and Orgalive tomato powder!
